Soft wax, hard wax, or sugaring? What’s the deal?

Soft Wax

Soft wax is great for all body parts, but we recommend it on larger body parts such as legs, arms and back. The wax we use is a Canadian made cream wax that is great for all skin types. The wax is applied with disposable sticks ( we NEVER double dip) and then removed with strips.

Hard Wax

Hard wax is great for smaller areas of the body, we recommend it for the face area, underarms and bikini/brazilian areas. This wax adheres to the hair and not skin, is not removed with strips. Many people prefer this method over the soft wax and say it less painful. We do not use hard wax on large parts of the body (i.e. arms or legs).

Sugaring

Sugaring is an excellent option for hair removal especially on the bikini/brazilian areas. We are so proud to use a local sugar handmade right here in BC. It’s completely natural, eco-friendly and oh so gentle on the skin. The sugar paste is applied against the hair growth and removed in the direction of growth. This makes it a great option because it produces less pressure on the hair shaft, leading to less breakage, and resulting in smoother skin. It is also heated at very low temperature so will not burn skin. Once you get sugared, you’ll probably never go back to waxing! Just saying!

What is a Vajacial? And Why Should You Get One?

What is a vajacial?

It’s a facial for your bikini area! A vajacial treats ingrown hairs, removes dead skin cells, smooths bumps around the bikini line, prevents acne, and helps with hyperpigmentation. It keeps the skin around the vaginal area healthy and hydrated.

What does the treatment consist of?

Our Hydrating Vajacials includes a cleanse, exfoliation with an organic sugar scrub, followed by detoxing clay mask with nourishing oils of oat, broccoli, and sea buckthorn,  completed with a skin brightening + calming serum. Our Cleansing Vajacials are the same, but also include extractions of ingrown hairs!

When should you get a vajacial?

Vajacials are usually follow up treatments to help with the side effects of hair removal on the vagina.  It is recommended to get a vajacial a few days post wax or sugaring.  It cannot be done on the same day as a Brazilian wax/sugaring as the skin is very sensitive.  

What are some benefits of a vajacial?

Vajacials can help with evening out skin tone around the bikini area and can lessen discolouration and hyperpigmentation. They get rid of bacteria, eliminate ingrown hairs and keep your most delicate skin hydrated and smooth!
